JUNE 25, 2011: CONGRATULATIONS TO SAN DIEGO FALCONS 2013 TEAM MEMBER DEREK BLACK AND 2015 TEAM MEMBER SHANE POTTER FOR BEING SELECTED AS 1 OF 40 PLAYERS IN THEIR RESPECTIVE AGE GROUPS ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO BE INVITED TO THE USA 16U (Derek) AND 14U (Shane) TEAM TRAILS BACK IN NORTH CAROLINA NEXT MONTH TO COMPETE FOR A PLACE ON THE 16U AND 14U USA NATIONAL TEAMS. BOTH YOUNG MEN WERE SELECTED BASED ON THEIR EXCELLENT PLAY AT THE USA CHAMPIONSHIPS (THE JO'S) THE FALCONS 16U AND 14U TEAMS PLAYED IN THIS PAST WEEK. THIS REPRESENTS AN EXCEPTIONAL HONOR FOR BOTH PLAYERS AS WELL AS OUR BASEBALL ORGANIZATION. TYPICALLY, ONLY ONE OR TWO PLAYERS ARE SELECTED OUT OF ALL OF SAN DIEGO COUNTY TO COMPETE FOR A PLACE ON THE USA NATIONAL TEAMS. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL 16U AND 14U TEAM MEMBERS FOR COMPETING SO WELL AND REPRESENTING THE SAN DIEGO FALCONS ORGANIZATION. THE SDF 16U's EARNED A 23 SEED OUT OF 72 BEFORE BEING KNOCKED OUT IN THE SINGLE ELIMINATION ROUND BY A TEAM NOW PLAYING FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP, WHILE THE SDF 14U's EARNED A 7 SEED OUT OF 52 TEAMS. WELL DONE FALCONS!
JUNE 30, 2011: The FALCONS 18U, 16U and 14U team rosters, comprised of players drawn from Teams 2011-2015, are for selected summer tournaments and exhibition games. The FALCON 18U, 16U & 14U schedules and game results, expressed to the left, are separate and independent of Team 2011-2015 schedules and results.

Too many to mention “upper classmen” Falcons have been busy with CIF Playoffs! We also boast several of our freshmen on their respective high school’s CIF playoff roster, including Chris Hudgins (Grossmont), Jordan Farhat (Ramona), Jordan Qsar (Valhalla), Sam Gershow (Christian) and Jake Wiegand (Parker).
Additionally, the following Falcons players are all still alive in CIF playoffs as of May 30th and may be playing for a CIF Championship on Saturday, June 4 at Tony Gwynn Stadium at SDSU:
